Why are the Dolomites pink? Thank you, Africa!
The progressive approach from Africa to Europe determined the formation of the Alps, the rocks full of iron left the sea and became the beautiful mountains of iron we can admire today. - You can usually find fossils of underwater organisms and algae in their beaks.
In the last forty years, their valleys, full of pine trees, lakes and streams, have become popular tourist destination. The many towns and villages are well organized to host thousands and thousands of people, with hotels equipped with every comfort but also with typical and cozy guesthouses where you can taste the delights of mountain cuisine and enjoy this wonder of nature, the Dolomites.
